Glenmorangie – Tùsail 6th Private Edition 2015

Tùsail is the sixth release in Glenmorangie's Private Edition range, a single malt that is non-chill-filtered. It is made from a selected parcel of Maris Otter barley, floor-malted by hand. Maris Otter is a winter barley variety first introduced in 1965 and bred as a high quality brewing malt, known for rich, rustic malty flavours. The nose is earthy and robust, with malty, biscuity tones over a backbone of nut toffee. On the palate, nut toffee, sweet barley malt, ginger, cinnamon and dates in molasses sit alongside Glenmorangie's familiar peaches, oranges and smoked pears. The finish is mouth-coating and lingering.
