Tùsail is the sixth release in Glenmorangie's Private Edition series, a limited-edition Highland single malt in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV. Its name is the Gaelic word for 'originary' or 'original'.
It was created by Dr Bill Lumsden to explore how barley variety shapes flavour, and it is made with Maris Otter barley, a heritage grain.
The palate is rich and textured, with malted biscuits, honey, toffee and freshly baked bread, alongside orange marmalade, pear, dates and gentle spice. The finish is long and warming, with cereal richness and soft fruit.
