This is a 16 year old Dalmore from the Gordon & MacPhail Connoisseur's Choice range, distilled in 2008 and bottled at 59.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose opens with honeycomb, green apple slices and vanilla pod, moving to grapefruit, orange peel and soft herbal notes. On the palate come toasted almonds and poached pears with gentle chilli heat, then fresh pineapple and lemon peel. The finish is medium, with lingering citrus and a touch of aniseed.
