This is a single malt distilled at Milton, now known as Strathisla, in 1949. It matured for 72 years in a first fill sherry puncheon and was bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in 2022 at 48.6% ABV.
The nose offers baked forest fruits, fresh vanilla and a rich sherry influence. On the palate come apple pie, bright citrus and caramel.
The finish carries toffee apple and a subtle hint of smoke.
