Grain Barn is a 30-year-old single grain whisky, released as Batch 002. It honours the former grain production in the Lowlands around the Dalswinton Estate, and it matured in bourbon casks.
The nose is creamy and sweet, with plenty of vanilla, traces of nutmeg, freshly baked strudel and sweet oak. On the palate come waves of vanilla and rich, creamy dessert flavours, like cream cake. The finish has a syrupy sweetness, candied fruit and a touch of panettone.
