Grandes Distilleries Peureux – GDP Pure Malt 12 Year Old (46%)

A 12 year old blended malt from Grandes Distilleries Peureux, bottled at 46%. It is the third release in the GDP range of French whisky, from a house that has distilled for more than 160 years and is known for its fruit eaux-de-vie. The whisky was aged in traditional Jura casks, Vin Jaune and Vin de Paille. Time in casks that previously held fruit eaux-de-vie was kept shorter, so that the first aromas developed by the Jura wine casks come through.
