Great Southern Distillery – Limeburners Sherry Cask Cask Strength Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 61%)

Limeburners Sherry Cask is a cask strength single malt from Great Southern Distillery in Western Australia, in a 70cl bottle at 61% ABV. The whisky was matured in ex-bourbon American oak barrels and then finished in an old Australian sherry cask. It goes from barrel straight to bottle, which gives a full, intense flavour. Neat, it shows fruit and spice on the nose. With a splash of water, malted barley, honey and vanilla come forward, along with buttery caramel and raisins. Each barrel has its own character, so batches vary slightly.
