Green River Honey Finished Bourbon is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Green River Distilling Co. in Owensboro. It starts as a four-year-old straight bourbon, which is then finished in barrels that previously held locally sourced honey.
The nose has clover honey, butterscotch, ripe peaches and vanilla icing. On the palate are clover honey, caramel, graham crackers, cinnamon and candied pecans, with a hint of green tea. The finish is medium and sweet, with honey, allspice, soft oak and a mild minty warmth.
