This is a single pot still Irish whiskey from Green Spot, a special edition made in collaboration with Chateau Leoville Barton. It was first matured in sherry and bourbon casks, then finished in French oak Bordeaux wine casks. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
On the nose the French oak brings crisp woodland notes to the spicy pot still character, with a delicate floral perfume, raspberries, strawberries and orchard fruit. The palate balances oak and spice, with vanilla sweetness set against the dry wine influence. The finish is slow to fade, leaving wine and spice at the end.
