Green Spot Chateau Montelena Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey (70cl, 46%)

Green Spot Chateau Montelena is a single pot still Irish whiskey made by Midleton Distillery in collaboration with Mitchell and Son and the Napa Valley winery Chateau Montelena. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The whiskey is first matured in bourbon and sherry casks, then finished for 12 months in French oak Zinfandel wine casks from Chateau Montelena. The nose combines oak, vanilla, white chocolate and marshmallow with red apples, ripe pears, pomegranate, cranberries and maraschino cherries. The palate is sweet and mouth-coating with a dry note, citrus, orchard fruit, red berries and marzipan. The finish is long, with pot still spice and a delicate Zinfandel influence.
