Green Spot Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey (70cl, 40%)

Green Spot is a single pot still Irish whiskey, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is a blend of whiskies with an average age of 7 to 9 years, distilled in a pot still in Midleton, County Cork. It has always been produced exclusively for the Mitchell family, who began trading in Dublin in 1805 as confectioners and wine merchants. In 1887 they moved into whiskey bonding, sending empty wine, sherry and port casks by horse and cart to the local Jameson Distillery to be filled and returned to their cellar warehouse to mature. The name comes from the old practice of marking barrels with a daub of colour to show a particular age.
