Griffo Stony Point Whiskey (70cl, 47%)

Griffo Stony Point is an American whiskey from Griffo Distillery, in a 70cl bottle at 47% ABV. Organic corn and rye are milled straight into the kettle, and the grains stay in through distillation. The spirit is aged in local barrels, using both American and French oak. The distillery describes the grain character as soft and nutty from the corn, with a spicy rye finish. The nose is soft vanilla, hazelnut and light tangerine. On the palate, cereal and slight nuttiness give way to marzipan, peach custard and rich caramel. The finish brings spicy rye, cigar box and ginger, with a lingering sweetness.
