Hakushu – 12 Year Old (75cl)

Hakushu 12 Year Old is a Japanese single malt made at Suntory's distillery on Mount Kaikoma in the Japanese Alps, in a 750ml bottle. It is matured for a minimum of twelve years in American oak, Spanish oak and Japanese Mizunara oak casks, and made with soft water filtered through granite. The nose has green apple, ripe pear and fresh mint, with pine needle, basil, kiwi and a hint of sweet green tea. The palate shows pear, kiwi and citrus zest, then toasted almonds, herbal green tea and a touch of earthiness. The finish is medium, with citrus peel, green tea and a trace of soft wood smoke.
