Hakushu – 12 Years (43%)

Hakushu 12 Years is a Japanese single malt from the Hakushu distillery in the Japanese Alps, bottled at 43% ABV. It has been aged for twelve years in oak casks. The whisky is made with soft, clean mountain water, and its character is fresh and herbal with a little smoke in the background. The oak adds a gentle sweetness. Green apple, mint, melon and light smoke are the flavours usually picked out in the glass.
