Hakushu Bourbon Barrel is a Japanese single malt from the Hakushu distillery, bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. This is the first release of the bottling, from 2009, and it has since been discontinued.
The whisky was aged entirely in handcrafted 180-litre bourbon barrels.
Subtle smoke comes with tropical fruit, citrus and vanilla, and the palate is clean and refreshing, reflecting the balance of the whisky.
