This is a Japanese blended malt from Hakushu, released as the Japanese Forest 'Bittersweet Edition' and bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The liquid is amber in colour. The nose brings cloves, apricot and plum. On the palate it is sweet and complex yet lively, with manuka honey, orange marmalade and cocoa.
The finish is balanced and pleasantly lingering, with a bitter, espresso-like character that gives the edition its name.
