This is Hakushu Peated Malt 18 Year Old, the 2024 edition of the Tsukuriwake Selection from Suntory's Hakushu distillery. It is a limited single malt made from peated malt and matured for at least eighteen years.
It was bottled in 2024 at 48% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
Sage and ripe green apple lead the nose, with a touch of pineapple. On the palate, layered smoke combines with herbs, grapefruit and acacia honey. The finish keeps a clean smoke alongside fresh green citrus.
