Story of Distillery 2025 Edition is a blended malt from Suntory's Hakushu distillery in Japan. It is made from smoky Hakushu malt matured in bourbon casks and is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. Hakushu was completed in 1973 and stands in forest on Mount Kaikomagatake in the Japanese Southern Alps.
The colour is a light amber. The nose offers roasted green tea, spring scents, soft vanilla and rising smoke. The palate is delicate and light, with a touch of bitterness and sweet citrus, and the finish is smoky.
