Hakushu Story of the Distillery is a single malt Japanese whisky, in its 2024 release, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is made from a selection of Hakushu malt whisky aged in bourbon barrels, which add a vanilla-like sweetness to the naturally fresh, slightly smoky character of the malt. The distillery stands in Yamanashi Prefecture, at 700 metres above sea level. The whisky is a bright amber with a creamy texture and a mild, sweet smokiness. The nose brings roasted green tea, scents of spring, gentle vanilla and building smoke.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
