Hakushu Story of the Distillery 2026 Edition is a limited Japanese single malt from Suntory's Hakushu Distillery in Yamanashi, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
It is made mainly from smoky Hakushu malts matured in bourbon barrels. The special label shows birdlife found around the distillery's sanctuary among the forests of Hokuto City. The smoke is gentle rather than heavy.
The nose has pineapple, creamy vanilla and roasted hojicha tea. The palate is light and soft, with delicate sweetness like wasanbon sugar and a restrained bitter edge. The finish brings glowing ember smoke and a bittersweet note.

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
