Hanyu-Kawasaki Ichiro's Malt & Grain Kiyosato Field Ballet 29th Anniversary (70cl, 48%)

This Japanese blended whisky is a vatting of two single casks from distilleries that have since closed: a 1990 Hanyu and a 1982 Kawasaki. Ichiro Akuto put it together to mark the 29th anniversary of the Kiyosato Field Ballet, and it was bottled in 2018 at 48% in a 70cl bottle. Only 403 bottles were released. Kawasaki was a grain distillery, using 90% corn and 10% malted barley. Its casks were bought by Akuto in 2006. The Kiyosato Field Ballet has been performed outdoors each July and August since 1990.
