Headlands Apera Cask Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 46%)

Headlands Apera Cask is an Australian single malt, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled and barrelled in the coastal town of Wollongong in New South Wales. The whisky is finished in oak casks previously seasoned with 18 year old Seppeltsfield Rare Rich Apera. That fortified wine is made from Palomino and Grenache grapes grown in the Barossa Valley and is the Australian counterpart of Spanish Oloroso sherry. Marmalade and dried fruit peel come together with walnuts, complex toasted oak, baked pears and vanilla.
