Heaven Hill Heritage Collection 17 Year Old Barrel Proof Bourbon (75cl)

This is the first edition of the Heaven Hill Heritage Collection, an annual series released each spring. It is a 17-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled at barrel proof and unfiltered, in a 750ml bottle. It was distilled at the Heaven Hill Bernheim Distillery in Louisville and comes from Heaven Hill's high-rye mashbill. The nose combines aged oak, leather, baking spices, allspice, rye spice, toffee, dark cherries and caramel, with cigar box and tobacco notes. The palate is bold and spicy, with oak, tobacco and leather folded into caramel and a chewy texture. The finish is long and spice-forward, with brown sugar, molasses cookie and caramel.
