Heaven Hill Heritage Collection 22 Year is a barrel-proof Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled at 64.6% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It was distilled at Heaven Hill in Bardstown.
Distilled through a column still and copper doubler from a mashbill of 78% corn, 10% rye and 12% malted barley, it spent more than two decades in new charred American oak barrels on the fifth and sixth floors of Rickhouse Y.
The nose is aged leather, dark caramel, dried cherry and pipe tobacco. The palate is dense, with dark chocolate, cinnamon and stewed dark fruit, and the finish is very long, with charred oak, toffee and pepper.
