Älv is a single malt whisky from High Coast Distillery in Sweden, bottled at 46% ABV. The name is the Swedish word for river, after the Ångermanälven that runs by the distillery in the High Coast region. The distillery draws on the river's naturally cold, clear water, and describes Älv as a soft, well-balanced malt with vanilla tones. The nose brings vanilla, coconut and sponge cake. On the palate there is sweet vanilla with ripe pear and apple, and the finish is long, with sweet vanilla notes.
