High West Cask Strength Bourbon is a blend of straight bourbons aged from 6 to over 10 years, sourced from distilleries in Kentucky, Indiana and Tennessee. It is bottled uncut at barrel proof, which varies by batch and generally sits around 117 proof.
The character is full-bodied, balanced between sweet corn, rich oak and baking spices.
The nose shows orange peel, grilled peach cobbler, vanilla ice cream and a hint of sweet maple. The palate is rich and dense, with dark honey, baked plantain, tart apple and fine leather. The finish is very long and warming, with dark berry jam, sandalwood and sweet oak.
