Highland Park – 12 Year Old Early 1990s (70cl, 40%)

A 12 year old Island single malt from Highland Park, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It comes in the old dumpy bottle presentation and was released in the early to mid-1990s. Old-style Highland Park of this kind is described as oily, smoky and lush, with green and dark fruits in equal measure. Dumpy bottlings from the 1980s and 1990s are characterised by an earthy, oily peat, notes of dark fruits and thick sherry, and a heathery, mineral smokiness.
