This is a 15-year-old Highland Park single malt from Orkney, bottled at 44% in a ceramic decanter made by Wade Ceramics. The glazed decanter, decorated with snake and lion motifs, is inspired by the clay vessels in which whisky was once kept. The whisky has a natural golden colour and was matured mainly in sherry-seasoned casks.
The nose offers crème brûlée, heather honey, cinnamon, pineapple and lemon zest. On the palate, soft peat smoke meets cinnamon, vanilla, sponge cake and juicy pineapple. The finish is long, with toasted cinnamon, vanilla and light peat smoke.
