Highland Park 16 Years Wings of the Eagle is an Orkney single malt first released in 2018 for travel retail. The name comes from the eagle, a symbol of wisdom in Norse tradition. It is bottled at 44.5% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky matured for sixteen years in sherry-seasoned European and American oak casks. Notes include fig, apricot and marzipan, with warm spices, chocolate, subtle heather and peat smoke, and a smooth, long-lasting finish.
