A Highland Park 18 year old from 1989, bottled at 46% as a single malt in the Orkney Malt First Cask series. The colour is amber.
The nose combines fresh walnuts, caramel and plenty of fresh parsley with sultanas, crystallised oranges, flint, a little wood smoke and freshly mown grass.
The palate offers coffee, liquorice and caramel with Seville oranges, milk chocolate, strong chestnut honey, chocolate cake and black nougat. The finish is rather long, on candy sugar and dark rum.
