Highland Park – 1987 35 Years Old Gordon & MacPhail Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength (70cl, 56.9%)

This Highland Park was distilled in March 1987 and spent more than three decades in a refill bourbon barrel before Gordon & MacPhail bottled it in January 2023 for its Connoisseurs Choice range. It is a 35-year-old single malt from the Orkney distillery, bottled at a cask strength of 56.9% in a 70cl bottle. Only 131 bottles were filled. Stewed fruit on the nose is joined by roasted coffee beans, cocoa powder, cinnamon and citrus. Juicy oranges, chocolate pralines and red apple on the palate lead to a spicy, lingering finish.
