This Highland Park is a 35 year old single malt from the Dalswinton Series by Claxton's, the second edition after the first appeared in winter 2021/22. It was distilled on 22 June 1988 and matured in an Oloroso sherry cask before bottling in autumn 2024.
Each bottle is hand-engraved with a story from the Dalswinton Estate by the artist Jamie Stryker.
The nose offers intense stewed apples, pears and plums, then sweet tobacco smoke and a hint of peat. The palate is malty and intense, with gentle spice, oak, fresh melon and sweet sherry. The finish keeps the fruit, joined by heather peat and oaky spice.
