This is an 18-year-old Highland Park single malt from Orkney, distilled in 2006 and bottled by Dràm Mòr at 57.1% ABV. It was matured in a refill hogshead, cask 3535, and 292 bottles were filled. The colour is buttercup yellow.
The nose is gently coastal, with straw, mild honey and a whiff of smoke. The palate is full and rich, with citrus, lemon sherbet, roasted ripe yellow pear and white pepper, and a touch of smoke on top. The finish is long, and the hint of peat for which Highland Park is known appears at the very end.
