This is a 17-year-old single cask Highland Park, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail for its Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength range. The spirit was distilled in 2007 and bottled on 3 June 2025 at a natural cask strength of 59.9% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It matured in a first-fill sherry butt, cask 5358, and yielded 606 bottles. The whisky is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. Highland Park stands in Kirkwall on Orkney, and the distillery still uses a proportion of locally cut Orkney peat. The tasting notes describe fragrant raisin with peanuts and tangerine peel, then apple, raspberry, fudge and a hint of coffee bean, ending in a medium-length finish with lingering spice.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
