Highland Park – 2009 12 Year Old Spirits in the Sky 2022 Single Cask #6021 (70cl, 65.2%)

This is a 12-year-old single malt from Highland Park on Orkney, bottled from a single cask for the Spirits in the Sky release. It was distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2022 at a cask strength of 65.2%, in a 70cl bottle. The whisky matured in a single refill hogshead, number 6021, which gave 291 bottles. A refill cask adds little influence of its own, so the distillery character comes forward, described as fruity and spicy with a subtle smoke.
