This is a 21 year old Highland Park from the November 2019 release, bottled at 46%. It was vatted from 26 casks, all filled in 1998: nine first-fill European sherry hogsheads, eight bourbon hogsheads and nine refill hogsheads.
Gordon Motion, Highland Park's Master Whisky Maker, chose the casks personally, and each had matured for at least 21 years. The distillery stands on Orkney.
Flavours include mango, orange peel, pear, ginger, nutmeg and vanilla, with a subtle hint of peat smoke.
