Highland Park 25 Year Old is a limited release from Orkney, bottled at 46%. It was blended by Master Whisky Maker Gordon Motion from twelve casks: five first-fill sherry-seasoned European oak hogsheads, two first-fill sherry-seasoned American oak casks and five virgin American oak hogsheads.
The nose combines lychee and Seville orange with sweet oak-smoked coconut and honeyed violet. On the palate there are warm woody spices, aniseed and crushed rosemary, followed by a long finish of aromatic peat smoke.
