Highland Park Cask Strength Release No. 3 is a single malt from Orkney, bottled at 64.1% in a 70cl bottle. It is the third release in the Robust and Intense series and was bottled in 2022.
The whisky matured in first fill sherry casks made from both European and American oak, and it was bottled straight from the cask.
The nose is peppery, with red fruit, nuts and heather. On the palate come red berries, cherries and apple, then black pepper, cinnamon, ginger and aniseed, ending in earthy notes of peat and leather. The finish is long and warm, with peat and wood.
