Highland Park – Cask Strength Release No 4 Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 64.3%)

Release No 4 of the Highland Park Cask Strength series is a single malt Scotch whisky from the distillery in Kirkwall, Orkney. It is bottled at 64.3% in a 70cl bottle and has natural colour. It was matured in three types of cask: first-fill sherry-seasoned American and European oak, plus a smaller share of refill casks. Tasting notes include lightly charred oak, honey-glazed lemons, crushed aniseed and ripe mango, with cloudy heather honey, whipped vanilla cream, violet and pink grapefruit zest. Rich sponge cake and smouldering peat smoke are also noted.
