Highland Park Dragon Legend is a single malt from Orkney, bottled at 43.1% ABV. It takes its inspiration from the Viking warrior said to have slain dragons.
The whisky has a deep golden colour. Local peat from Hobbister Moor gives it an aromatic smokiness, set against a spicy sweetness from long maturation in sherry-seasoned oak casks.
The nose offers lemon peel, honey, vanilla, warm spices, fresh-cut wood and peat smoke. Lemon zest, honey and warm spice follow on the palate, with vanilla and strong peat smoke, and the finish brings dried citrus and toasted barley.
