Highland Park – Odin 16 Year Old Valhalla Collection

Highland Park Odin is a 16 year old single malt from the Valhalla Collection. Highland Park is one of two distilleries on Orkney, founded in 1798 by Magnus Eunson. The distillery mainly uses sherry casks made to order in Jerez, filled there with oloroso sherry and left for about two years before going to Orkney. Its malt is dried over peat from Hobbister moor, made up largely of compacted, partly decayed heather, and the light heather smoke is a signature note of the distillery's whisky.
