Highland Park Valfather is a single malt from Orkney, released in 2019 as the third and final whisky in the Viking Legend trilogy, following Valkyrie and Valknut. It takes its inspiration from Odin, the 'Valfather' of Norse mythology, and is bottled at 47%.
Maturation in refill casks lets the smokiness come through fully. The original gift box was designed in collaboration with the Danish designer Jim Lyngvild.
The character is a pronounced heather-peat, with honey, vanilla, citrus and spicy notes alongside.
