Highland Park Valknut is the second release in the Viking Legend trilogy, coming after Valkyrie and before Valfather. This single malt from Orkney was released in 2018 and bottled at 46.8% in a 70cl bottle.
It was matured mainly in American oak casks and finished in sherry. The name refers to a Norse symbol of three interlocking triangles, and the original box was designed in collaboration with the Danish designer Jim Lyngvild.
Tasting notes describe gentle peat smoke, vanilla, thyme honey, roasted barley, cinnamon and orange peel, with a spicy finish.
