Hillrock 5 Year Old Double Cask Bottled in Bond Bourbon (75cl, 50%)

This is a Bottled in Bond bourbon from Hillrock Estate Distillery in New York's Hudson Valley, aged for a minimum of five years and bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV) in a 750ml bottle. Hillrock grows its own grain and runs an on-site malt house. The Double Cask expression is matured in more than one type of cask, and as a Bottled in Bond whiskey it comes from one distiller, one distillation season and at least four years in a bonded warehouse. The nose offers caramel, vanilla and toasted oak. The palate is full, with baking spice, brown sugar and oak, leading to a long, warming finish with lingering spice.
