Hillrock Double Cask Rye is a New York rye whiskey finished in 1er Cru Sauternes casks. The rye is grown on the distillery's own Hudson Valley estate, then milled, pot distilled, aged and bottled by hand in small batches.
The whiskey ages first in new American oak casks with a number 3 char, then in new casks with a number 4 char, which add caramel and vanilla to the rye spice.
This bottling comes from the 2016 Wiltsie Bridge harvest. It is 5.77 years old and bottled at 46% ABV, in a 75cl bottle.
