Hillrock Double Cask Rye is an American rye whiskey made in small batches from rye grain. The grain is grown, milled, pot distilled, aged and bottled by hand on the Hudson Valley estate. It comes in a 75cl bottle at 45% ABV.
The whiskey is first aged in new American oak casks with a number 3 char, then moves into new American oak casks with a number 4 char. The second stage adds layers of caramel and vanilla alongside the traditional spice of rye.
