Hillrock Solera Aged Bourbon is a bourbon finished in Sauternes casks. Its sweetness is lifted by a slight spiciness from the rye.
The nose is sweet, with caramel and vanilla and a slightly floral, fruity edge. On the palate come brown sugar, maple syrup, rock candy and toffee, along with clove, cinnamon, roasted corn, toast and raisin. The finishing adds walnut, fig and candied fruit. The finish is medium to long, with sweet caramel and butterscotch.
