Hillrock Solera Aged Bourbon Pinot Noir Finished is an American whiskey that is aged in the Solera and then finished in wine casks that held Shea Vineyard Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. The multi-barrel ageing gives a copper-amber whiskey with slight chestnut hues. The nose brings bright red fruit, including ripe cherries, blackberry and plums, alongside sweet desserts such as taffy, crème brûlée, creamy caramel and candied almonds. The palate offers warm vanilla and cherries with toffee and French oak, and the finish carries rye spice, dried plums, allspice, nutmeg and vanilla.
