Hillrock Solera Aged Bourbon Napa Cabernet Finished is an American whiskey aged in a solera system, then finished in Dakota Shy Napa Valley Cabernet wine casks. Its colour is copper to amber, with slight red hues.
The nose is caramel and vanilla with cherry, blackberry and citrus, alongside taffy, caramelised sugar and plum. The palate is warm and sweet, with vanilla, toffee and French oak, then black cherry, currant, violet and nuts. The finish is long and centred on vanilla, with cherry and cabernet flavours.
