Hillrock Double Cask Bourbon is a bottled in bond bourbon from Hillrock Estate Distillery in New York's Hudson Valley. It is made from 100% estate grain that was grown, milled, mashed, pot distilled, aged and hand bottled on the estate.
The bourbon spent more than five years in American oak casks with a number 3 char and a number 4 char, and was bottled at 100 proof. It is dark amber in colour.
The nose brings gingerbread, vanilla bean, hazelnuts and oak, with hints of nutmeg and butterscotch. The palate is rich and round, with cinnamon, vanilla, honey roasted nuts and dark chocolate, and the finish reveals buttered toffee and baking spices.
